Provided 1st and 2nd level line support for incidents and resolution within SLA. Continuous 24x7 support and escalation to ensure all live systems do not break SLA.
Played a significant role in successfully training the offshore DBA team as part of the overnight simplification project to minimise the escalation calls out of hours.
Documented and passed on the daily processes to the offshore Helpdesk. This included password resets and troubleshooting.
Co-ordinated a successful AS/400 system migration to Prague, responsibility for batch and work flow testing, documentation review and tape migration.
Responsible for the audit and destruction of all the unused media tapes stored offsite at Iron Mountain, the 2675 tapes had expired and were expensive to store.
Setting up and running the End of day application batch runs using Scheduler, creating daily checklists, producing Reports and performing backups, restores and encrypted CD for third party Credit Reference Agencies.
The administration, analysis and decommission of redundant SQL databases. Any reference to the DB in system jobs and stored procedures have been captured and scripted locally. Raised a change request for approval to backup and delete the DB.
Corrected and recompiled CL programs and Opal code for distribution emails and FTP interface file transfers across different operating platforms and LPAR machines.
Managed and recovered the LPARs and user data during DR testing offsite. Ensured all the operational documentation and procedures were correct and provide reports to my Manager.
Implemented third party Target Credit400 software releases in the production and testing environments and available for post delivery user acceptance testing out of business hours.
