1. Implements and evaluates the effectiveness of components of the accident prevention and environmental health and safety compliance programs.
2. Conducts site safety audits of work methods for improper procedures, checks equipment and facilities for hazardous conditions, and recommends corrective measures.
3. Prepares written recommendations for elimination of unsafe acts or hazardous conditions to comply with applicable laws
4. Investigates compliance with legal mandates pertaining to safety, compliance programs, and fire prevention
5. Reviews Material Safety Data Sheets to determine acceptability of materials for use by employees
6. Reviews and evaluates programs relative to accident prevention, recycling, and hazardous waste materials and directs corrective actions.
