PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The engagement on the PeopleSoft side is to support the HR system of CompuCom System.
The PeopleSoft is the application is used to track Human Resources information for all CompuCom Associates. All the Modules of Payroll, Benefits and Core HR were covered during the project.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE PROJECT:
Role: Team Member.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to interact with client to understand their business requirements.
• The work involved around HR CSD Payroll support where we had to modify
all the process defined SQRs and also customization of Pages and Components.
• Scope People Soft Applications Support Tasks
• Research and suggest preventive and corrective fixes as needed after prior approvals.
• Perform custom development work using People tools compatible with the database
• Created new reports as per the business requirements
• Unit Testing of development / customizations done.





Compensation Approval Process. (Inhouse Training Case study)
Duration : March 2007 – April 2007

• The work involved setting up a full cycle process for annual appraisal for the employees of various departments.
• This involved a case study which involved a process of furnishing the employee
details into a flat file, which is changed by the manager with the new comp details. This is uploaded into HR tables by an app engine.
• New pages were created to setup the salary plans of the employees and compensation details in Manager self-service. This new data for the employee is send for approval from the manager and the finally to the reporting manager for the manager
• The approval process was streamlined by the use of Workflow that involved two stages of activities to send the final mail notification to the employee. Also SQR report was used to generate increment letters by HR departments.
• This new compensation data was again uploaded to HR tables from the staging tables using Component Interface. Finally the same underlying record structure in HR for job data was created in Finance local instance and whenever the appraisal process is complete, Integration Broker was used to pass the data and the record in Finance instance was populated with new data. So that both tables in Finance and HCM should stand synchronized.
