Duties and responsibilities:
• Preparing financial statements, Cash flows and Business Plans for grant requests, and internal reporting and documentation
• Maintenance and updating payable and receivable ledgers including the reconciliation
• Invoicing Organisations paying fees for qualifying children
• Processing payable invoices (of temp staff and other suppliers)
• Processing payroll using sage payroll software, calculation of deductions payable to HM Revenue & Customs, and making the payment
• Processing new starters in to the payroll system, carryout procedures for leavers(processing P45’s)
• Carryout payroll yearend procedures and filing the return by the due date/online filing with HM Revenue & Customs
• Receiving nursery fees, recording in the accounts, & preparing Monthly Fee Statements, issuing reminders of fee arrears
• Maintaining cashbook, petty cash reconciliation using spreadsheet.
• Carryout other general office tasks like responding to telephone and e-mail queries, faxing, photocopying and scanning, designing forms using Microsoft Excel and word
