I have over 5.5 years of experience in Embedded Software development for various DSP and RISC processor based platforms. I have exhaustive experience in end-to-end development of software from requirement analysis to system study, algorithm design, code design and implementation, testing, debugging in simulators and actual hardware platform.
I have extensive work experience in the domain of Multimedia (Video, Image) codecs and systems.I have a good experience in Digital Signal Processing for Audio/Video codecs and related algorithms. I have good programming experience in C, Matlab, DSP/ARM processors assembly language, C++.
Currently I am working with Samsung-Software, India as a Sr. Lead Engineer. Profile: Design, development and integration of modules related to multimedia solutions, for 3G handset (Video/Audio/Image/Speech) applications.
Projects: a.) Worked on Integration & Porting of middleware for the Video codec related applications, in the 3G324M based wireless video phone systems on Motorola processors based 3G phones. This work was a 2 month project carried out in Motorola Inc. US. The work involved understanding existing middleware, and porting and integrating the same to a new hardware platform.
b.) Implemented, a DRM solution (APIs) for GIF, JPEG, image formats and integrated this DRM solution into the multimedia engine of the 3G324M based video phone.
c.) Worked on Motorola iDEN network phones for integration to support playback of various audio codecs on ATI DSPs. This work involved implementing an interface between the ATI DSP codec and the host processor, to support various decodes functionalities like start, pause, forward, and rewind.
d.) Involved in porting of various modules (TTY, Tone generator, AMBE Vocoder) from Motorola Onyx DSP to Motorola Starcore DSP. The work involved porting the assembly code to C code, and then to Starcore assembly code.
e.) Involved in integration of these components to the higher layers in mobile phone based on Starcore-ARM processors. Also did integration testing of the phones with these components integrated. This work was carried out for 3 months in Motorola Inc. Florida, US.

Multi-carrier Communication using Discrete Wavelet Multitone Modulation.
Discrete wavelet multitone modulation (DWMT) involves designing a bandwidth efficient modulation scheme for digital communications.
Various spectrally efficient basis need to be designed so as to have least interference among the sub carriers.
Implemented Lapped Orthogonal Transform, Modified Lapped Transform bases, and DWMT system.
Wavelet Packet bases were designed, and complete modem design using DWMT for ADSL application was completed.
